Good advice available on introducing mobile devices for learning in the classroom

A pilot study by Elizabeth Hartnell-Young in 2008 into personal mobile use in schools for Becta provided a number of key messages for schools about introducing mobile devices for learning.
These messages still make a lot of sense and relate to both policy, making sure for example to involve those who have responsibility for curriculum, student management and technical support as well as the more practical, e.g. making sure to anticipate and address technical issues ranging from battery charging to network access and security, data protection, etc. The full report is available.
