Focus on pedagogical use of technology

The Association of Finnish eLearning Centre and its 14 members have developed a training model emphasizing team work, peer learning and concrete deeds. Teachers introduce ideas from this training into practice and share them with their colleagues. This is a two year project, started in June 2011 and ends in May 2013 and is financed by the National Board of Education.
Technologies as such do not advance education; neither do they create our future schools. The focus of this project is on pedagogical thinking which enables one to understand the psychology of learning, social psychology and the role of learning in life and society. VISCED partner TIEKE the Finnish Information Society Development Centre is one of the project partners. TIEKE´s responsibilities in this project are for example evaluation, creating training models and participating in trainings as an expert.
